Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars Overview
Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars is a dense but highly playable cross between Civilization-esque society-building and Dungeons-and-Dragons-like quests - with plenty of battlefield action sprinkled in for good measure. Playing as the hero of your choice, you search your world for wealth that will bolster your castle's treasury, thereby building up cities, expanding your populace, and creating a stronger, healthier empire. In Standard mode, you choose from available scenarios with labels such as Broken Alliance, Dragon Wars and Forsaken Lands (each with its own designated difficulty), and try to defeat the electronic opponents populating that scenario. You can also choose Campaign mode in which you fight through a series of scenarios on the side of either Good or Evil.
